Music events: - On September 22 was the first show of the "SOLEIL is Alright" tour, following the release of the 2nd album of the same name! It was held at Rock Joint GB, Kichijōji, same place where SOLEIL performed two weeks earlier with Juicy Fruits. The show was sold out and the place very packed! The band, of which the main members are singer Soleil, bassist Sally Kubota and guitarist Nakamori Yasuhiro, also featured drummer Shirane Kenichi and chorists Hoshino Michiru and Shirai Mariko.

Most songs from the new album were played, and also several from the previous. The new songs sounded great live! One of the most fun to watch live is "Sweet Boy" during which Soleil pulls out boy faces (one of which was of Sally Kubota) and throws them at the audience to keep (each were signed on the back). Also the encore featured just the trio, with Soleil who played drums while singing!

I bought Soleil's new photobook (as I have been collecting them), and had the chance to get it and the CD signed! Yay! Just a few days after the show, a video for song "My Sweet Fifteen" was made including footage from the show. Check it out below!

An in-store event will be held on October 7 from 14:30 at Tower Records Shibuya after week 15-year-old singer Soleil will take a break until next spring to focus on her studies. It was announced that the next one-man show will be held on March 30, 2019 at Shibuya WWW.

- I went to "Delica Lab" at Batica, Ebisu to see Ookawara Izumi (Qypthone) and Nakatsuka Takeshi (also Qypthone)! The show started with Takeshi (he always plays first at this event) who was accompanied by bassist Ishigaki Kentarō (Qypthone), drummer Suzuki Kaoru, and trumpet and saxophone. That was very energetic, and included some of my favorite syncopated songs ("parkour" and "Prism") from latest album "EYE". Next to play was Takae × Asaka Rie (from MACARONICa), a duo of pianist and singer who have a very good jazzy sound with powerful vocals! Last was Izumi's set, again with Kentarō on bass and Kaoru on drums, and also with Ōnishi Mami. She sang her own songs an also a few Qypthone songs.
