Photo Tokyo Christmas tree

Already December! Christmas decorations have been popping up everywhere the last few days, and today we found this huge Christmas tree in Shinjuku NS building.

Now I'm about to set up our own Christmas lights. :)

Ah, Shinjuku NS building. It used to be like Roppongi Hills when it opened. I remember in the early '90s there were always long lines to get into the restaurants on the top floors. Now, it's completely dead.

Hard to believe! (Not that I don't trust your experience! :)) I've never seen it as anything but some office building.

Yep, it's true. The rainbow elevator was one of the main attractions and also the observation decks on the top floors were free so that attracted a lot of people. Many Bonenkai were planned there. Now, I think it is a decent spot to go for a quiet dinner. There are still some good restaurants on the top floors and it's not crowded at all. You may even call it an "anaba"

Oh and I forget to mention. At the height of it's popularity it was featured in the video anime "Maddox 01" where it got totally trashed!
