Maywa Denki
Tonight on my way back I stopped at Tower Records (to pick up Ai George's greatest hits album, which wasn't in stock) and was surprised to see Maywa Denki live on stage!
They spent a long time explaining their strange invention on the left using a PowerPoint presentation! :)

No, Maywa Denki is a completely different unit. They aren't only musicians but also wacky engineers/inventors.

They used to be a collaboration of two brothers but one quit. Their father owned a real electric appliance company Maywa Denki that closed up long ago and I think their 1960s styled logo really was a 1960s logo.

Were wondering if you know any shops in Tokyo that sells Maywa Denki inventions?

You need to go to museum or gallery shops. Last time I checked, Opera City's art gallery shop had a bunch of their stuff.
