Seems like I can get ¥6000 for my old 5GB 2nd gen Windows iPod! Not bad but could be better. :) I sure am tempted...!

and i just bought an iPod Mini for my wife !!!

You'd get ¥7000 (more than 2nd gen!), but that's only for models bought in Japan I think (model number M8513J/A).

Now I'm getting worried because my iPod's model number (M8541) isn't on the list, even though I bought it here. I emailed the refund company to verify.

Actually, I think it would be a waste to let it go for as low as ¥6000 since it still works well.
I'd probably first offer it to Yuko (http://www.chipple.net/mt/moblog/archives/week_2004_07_25.php#moblogentry1076) who wanted one but isn't quite ready to afford the full price of a new one, and otherwise sell it on Yahoo! Auctions.

I first have to make up my mind about getting a new one though. :)
