Cinema Les invasions barbares

The excellent Québec film Les invasions barbares by Denys Arcand, which we saw two weeks ago in Montréal, starts in Japan this weekend! The Japanese title is
みなさん、さようなら ("minasan, sayōnara.", "Farewell, everyone.").

Now I hope that Les triplettes de Belleville will also be coming out soon!

I saw the Triplets of Belleville out here in NYC - it was fabulous. I understand that it's now available on DVD in the States. Wonder if you could get a copy.

Speaking of French films, have you seen "Winged Migration"? Spectacular.

Haven't seen that or heard about it. Seems to be a documentary?

was nominated for best documentary here in the U.S.

was made by the same people who made "Microcosmos", which I haven't seen, but have heard is quite amazing.

"Microcosmos" is sort of in the tradition of that other famous Frenchman, Fabre
