Japan Mothra

MothraLast night I watched Mothra, which William recommended me a few weeks ago, and I found it quite entertaining! It has its dose of cheap-looking monsters, special effects and destruction (Mothra even crawls on Ōme-kaidō, an important street just by where I live).

Mothra is an invincible giant caterpillar, which later transforms into a moth. Its ultimate goal is to save the tiny twin fairies (played by The Peanuts), kidnapped from their island by an evil foreign producer, and bring them back home.

i'm glad you dug mothra! there was a new version of mothra or a new film about mothra made in the 90s which is quite good as well. but of course doesn't have the peanuts in it.

ps. i had a dream about blogging and you and jean(or at least your blogs) were in it. weird or what?

Yeah there were a myriad of Mothra-related tapes at the video store, I picked the original mainly because it features the Peanuts.
At first I thought it would be a B&W film but was happy when I saw it was color. B&W films tend to make me sleepy. :)

Weird about the dream! Has blogging become an obsession? :)

i don't think blogging has become a full on obsession, otherwise i'd be putting up countless entries a day.

the dream had something to do with some indie film maker. i think it was jean had blogged(in the dream) about miike and then you blogged(in the dream) from that that he had a younger brother making insane experimental films. and i was either all set to come to japan to see these films, or trying to find a way to see them. very odd.
