Yukari Fresh "Me"

Yes, it's true! Yukari is Fresh again, and she's back with a brand new album just in time for Valentine's Day!
The album will include remixes by Headman, Chicks on Speed, Avenue D, Bumblebeez, DataRock, Punks Jump Up and more!
It actually seems more like a remix album.

guests on albums is like some sort universial sickness. but, it has been less then a year since "not dead", and, who wouldn't want to guest on a yukari album? i know i would!! anyways. regardless.. glad to have the fresh back in yukari. though, from looking at the guest line up.. it seems like it might be more rotten, then rotten was. is miniflex being excused from this record? i'm sure all the questions with no answer's, yet.

wait.. is this just a remix album? escalator's site does say "remix's by.." said artist's.. hmm.

Seems like you're right. The place I had got the info from (Tower Records's page) didn't mention remixes, just "guest artists".

I'm updating the entry accordingly. Thanks!

I guess we'll have to wait and see. :)

Thanks for pointing out the show, I hadn't listened to it in a few weeks. The new remix(?) is good!

I think a good part of her/their work is almost sort of but not quite a remix. Entire releases like "Cook some dishes" is sort of a remix, but then again it's also sort of a preview or medley.

- And more to the point because of the numerous guests, the well received "Cityrama" album which blurs the line between a cover version collection and collaboration. Could very well be more or a variation of that.

In my book a remix is supposed to contain some original audio of the lead, and on that one she only makes a cameo appearance. But we all know some examples of "remixes" that contain nothing identifiable of the original and even some examples of artists who take the role of artistic director rather than performer.
